Discipleship Opportunities

Sunday Morning Classes: all ages, 9:30am

These curriculum-based classes meet Sunday morning for the purpose of deepening our understanding of God and what it means to be a compassionate disciple of Christ. We have four adult classes and individual age-group classes from Pre-Kinder to High School.

Small Groups: meet during the week

Our small groups meet both in our church and in the homes of our small group leaders. While the purpose of deepening our understanding of God and our role as compassionate disciples remains, these groups have a stronger focus on fellowship and prayer than our morning classes.

Resources for Growing in the Love of God

Helps for Growing This Week. You can access Pastor Bill’s weekly devotional on our Weekly Devotional page, our HCN Facebook page, or by subscribing to our church’s app (search for HarrisonvilleNaz on your smart phone’s app store).

Reflecting God. This is an online devotional community with one common purpose – the pursuit to embrace Holy living. The goal of this ministry is to foster discussion about what it means to live a Holy life in the 21st century. Through their official webpage at ReflectingGod.com you can read it or subscribe to daily emails. You can also access it by following them on social media through Twitter @reflectgod.

Seedbed Daily Devotional. The Daily Text is a daily devotional in the Wesleyan tradition from Seedbed, a resource from the United Methodist Church. Each day offers a short Bible text and a small bit of what we call “devotional commentary” written by Seedbed’s Sower-In-Chief, J.D. Walt, both of which aim to keep our community on a common journey. You can read or subscribe to a daily email at Dailytext.Seedbed.com.

Barefoot Ministries. This is a great resource in the holiness tradition for teens. Visit their website at blog.barefootonline.com/blog.

Reflecting the Image. A daily devotional from Dr. Carla Sunberg, president of Nazarene Theological Seminary. These devotionals come from her personal daily scripture readings and a part of her personal accountability to grow as a follower of Christ and being in God’s word. Access it at Reflectingtheimage.blogspot.com.
